Is using the term "Kraut" offensive?

Like any potentially offensive word, it depends on the context and how it is being used. Given that "Kraut" is generally intended as a derogatory term same way slurs like nigger, gook, chink, Jap, and so on are, outside of discussions about slurs probably better to avoid using it. We don't ban words, however some words are more difficult to use in a manner that isn't considered trolling.
