I'm losing track of moderators, I usually see them post and I'm like, when did that happen? Both with becoming moderators and stepping down.

I didn't even know Scolo retired until years later when I saw his name in green and wondered what had happened; for what it's worth, he doesn't even have the "retired moderator" title under his name, as though his whole mod career never even happened.

I didn't even know Scolo retired ... he doesn't even have the "retired moderator" title under his name, as though his whole mod career never even happened.

According to the mod logs, I switched him over to Retired Moderator on 20 April 2018. He'd been effectively retired for quite some time at that point.

We don't do badges for retired mods anymore - it's a Black Top Hat trophy down towards the bottom of his nation page. That's been true for years. Look at GMC Military Arms. He stopped being a Game Mod in 2005, Forum Mod a few years after that.

I was referring to on the forums, how Scolo's rank is listed as "minister" instead of "retired moderator", same thing with Nathi, whose rank is "postmaster of the fleet", and both mod team departures were around the same time IIRC. Thanks for the information, though, and I didn't know GMC had stopped being a game mod, let alone that early on! I remember him as a Senior Forum Moderator who barely posted (this would be in 2012-2013 when I was new).

I honestly forgot that was a thing. I just went through the list - about three fourths were correctly listed, and most of the rest are now correct. Half a dozen ex-mods were gone before we moved here in 2009.
