Ardchoille's been nagging me to finish up with the "horserace" thread so that it can be archived. Consequently, I've hammered out three posts on PVI and polling, and plan a couple more before I'm done.

tl&dr: Not necromancy, but epilogue to a thread that's soon going off to archive.


ADDENDUM: I think January 6th, 2013 - the official date that the Presidential Election is certified by Congress - would be a good day for final comments to be made and the thread retired. That gives me one more week for a planned post on polling accuracy by polling firm, as well as a post describing the certification process for overseas readers.

Of course, if someone in the House or the Senate decides to challenge the outcome of the Election in the Joint Session on January 6th, well, then, all bets are off...
