According to Wikipedia, this term is considered offensive, even though I don’t take offense from it. Would it still be actionable?

I didn't mean it as offensive regardless of the connotations it may have, I just think Chinaman rolls off the tongue better than Chinese man but at the end of the day they both convey the same thing... apologies, I will avoid using it if need be
