No two cases are alike. Sometimes we get an appeal from someone who posted something like porn. Not much discussion to be had. Sometimes it's something far more complex, like us deciding whether so-and-so's history under puppets x, y, and z seems to be linked to region M and their ongoing feud with region L which can be seen from this GHR back here... blah blah blah.

It'd be nice if players could receive their own discussions though. Aside from a 'your sig is too long' I've not had any run-ins with the mods in 3 and a half years (How? How have I managed that one? I don't know), but I'd still be interested to know what was said about me.

And considering that NS has existed since 2002, creating your own web game on this grand scale would be, ehh... Pretty difficult at this point! NS just has a huge following, and the current set of rules are optimal.

Ah, but there is: It's much easier to try to make someone else's site play by your rules than to exercise the creativity and hard work needed to build a site with similar popularity.

I think anyone that claims that the Mods here overmoderate are habitual offenders who have gotten hit over the head with that banhammer of Reppy's several times. Or are from websites that allow them to do whatever they want without punishment.

I take offense to that all x are y inference. As the mods are fully aware, while I've had...one or two 'minor' run ins in the past, my record is largely speaking clean albeit stamped, "Nuisance, do not feed." Also, I don't think I've ever been banned. (Think I had a time out for 24 hours but that was such a long time ago).

Nah, still better than Youtube comment section. I mean, in forums like those, we need a strong moderation. It would be better, if we could just moderate ourselves before we post, though.

No, never. I even hope to be one myself. But I have a bit of a history, so it's unlikely..

Friend of mine got DEATed for his actions. He deserved it, but still, it's a bit iffy.

Plenty. Farn is a comedic person I look up to, Reppy is a nice but firm guiding hand, The Ol Red Ram is kinda cool, wanna be like him someday.

I'm thinking there was an entirely justified reason that you know about; because, if it was my nation that got DEATed seemingly for no reason, I'd be appealing that shit without delay, as would other players on here. Yeah, I can totally see how the Mods are socialist tyrants, since there's definitely an economic element to forum moderation...yep.

Well there was a couple times when I was ancy about the Mod's work but it was either rectified or ultimately for the best.

Yes, I was 1 day banned by m&r for spam and I was warned numerously by mods before about putting threads in the wrong forum

I've only been banned once, on my main account (Natornic Cultures) for spamming moderation, and have since mellowed out. I now only post on Moderation with less frivolous comments that actually add evidence of misdemeanors by other members of the community. If everyone could be less abrasive, the moderation team would need less time prowling the forums, and actually spend more time playing the game to their hearts desires (or spend time with families, or just generally enjoy themselves.) All in all, aside from the rare mistake, the moderation team is very much professional in what they do, and deserve credit and thanks for ensuring a safe community for everyone to enjoy.
