Pro-tip: Never give up an empire.

Since a few centuries of Empire apparently hasn't eradicated the problem, I'm not sure 'civilisation' worked that well.

That's because the Brits were nice about it. A quick and easy solution would've been to wipe out all the savages and have all the land to yourself.
