viewtopic.php?p=33180951#p33180951 "the conservatives" sounds like all x are y to me
Name: Dave Hagen
Born: February 17, 1997
Gender: Male
Political orientation: Conservative
Country: the Netherlands
Religion: Christianity (Protestant)

Current date: 1 augustus 1918
De Telegraaf: In Brussels there were violent protests against the current government and against the Christian Conservative policy between 19:00 and 21:30. Minister of the Belgian States Kees van der Staaij says he wants to have a talk with the rebels, since this has to be arranged through the House of Representatives and / or the King (with other officials: The Ministers have little to say) van der Staaij is going to have between 23:00 and 4:00 a debate in the Lower House with Minister-President Dave Hagen and the other Political Parties

"They will never understand us" isn't sufficiently derogatory to warrant a warning. "All X are Y" type statements are only trolling when Y is something nasty.

Thanks for tackling all the nonsense this morning, Monitor. Respectfully, a second opinion requested on this matter.

Latin America Socialist Workers wrote:What? I'm gay and how can you think we are threat to society?

I'm a human, a person like you and we don't want to destroy the society, only we want live in respect with everybody.

Well, the conservatives, extrem religious person (Christian,Muslim... whatever). They never will able to understand us. Good luck to homophobic people in the future

I can understand "extrem religious person", but to imply that both conservatives and "extreme religious people" are homophobic seems off to me. The passive-aggressive hug tacked on to it seems as though the poster knows he's making a dig at conservatives.

Also, until this post, "the conservatives" had not been mentioned in the thread. The OP is Indian, and his view matches social conservatism found in India, but he does not label himself.

Not all X are Y. That point was reinforced a few posts later by NGN.

I don’t see it as actionable, for the reasons Monitor outlined.

Incidentally, I also think your misreading the sentence. I don’t think the sentence is meant to apply to all conservatives, but a person who is both conservative and very religious, but the grammar is ambiguous.

It could be a misread on my part. Thanks for weighing in, Ransium. *leaves hot cocoa*
