I wasn't using it to demean anyone, I was using it as a logical extension of how this law might apply given how ill defined and vague the concept of gender identity is in a legal sense. Since the determination of identity is subjective, including the expression therein by use of language, imagery and other methods of association are protected forms of expression that the government cannot nullify.

As a member of the Fluent English Speaking community, I ask for a second opinion on this "warning," as I clearly did not ask if Monitor sexually identifies as a warship (nor do I care what she does with her smokestacks... aren't ships gendered female?) but rather a question of self-identity. It's entirely within the realm of speculation that someone may offline really think they are Napoleon Bonaparte and march around in a tricorn but pretending to be a werewolf online. Some people put peanut butter on their hot dogs, whatever. My point is, online, who can tell the difference between a transgendered person and a cosplayer? And why does it matter either way? If someone wants to self-identify as a boat or sexually-identify as a walrus with a bass guitar, who gets priviledge here? So yes, I am involved, insomuch as I'm not online merely pretending to write in English, words do have meanings, and a question is not spam.
