Yeah so this guy has been getting more and more hostile with his comments. At first I just ignored them but now they're slowly getting worse and worse. I just don't want this to escalate. could you perhaps give him a "slap on the wrist" and warn him not to take it further?

If they start breaking the rules, report it, but we're not going to punish someone for something that is not actionable simply because you feel it may escalate. At the moment, while you might not like their participation, it's not actionable; don't want to see it, add them to your Foe List.
