[Report] Posting Past Topic Ban

This:
viewtopic.php?f=13&t=406215&p=31362855#p31362855

Is posted by the same player who was told this by Sedg:

viewtopic.php?p=31354216#p31354216

Although I think there is a bit of ambiguity as to whether Sedge meant the ban to be posts about stats in particular or criticism of issues in general, my interpretation was the latter.

Apologies if this would have been better placed in the editor's forum.

I can't figure it out myself. Flagging for Sedge's attention.

Looks like the same crap they were posting before that led to Sedge kicking them from the unusual effects thread.

I was NOT reporting a suspicious stat effect, nor was I posting in the issue effects megathread, which means that I was NOT evading the ban. If Sedge meant to say that I was not allowed to post anywhere in "Got Issues?", then that should have been made more clear. If you restore my deleted nation, I'll just avoid the forums altogether in order to avoid any further miscommunications.

Restoring deleted nations I think they don't do that unless your deletion was a mistake or the deletion resulted from a personal vendetta. As a player knowing the rules is also your responsibility too, if a mod tells you that you are banned from posting for however long then just take it and don't post again until the ban is up. That's how you avoid further confrontation.

Monitor has a personal vendetta against me. I don't know why.

I did not break the rules.

It wasn't a general temporary ban. It was a permanent ban from one specific thread and from a specific subject, and I never touched that thread or that specific subject again. Monitor decided to interpret the ban a bit more broadly than what Sedge actually imposed, which is the reason for the current dispute.

Unofficial warning for spamming Moderation.

Deletions can be appealed like any other mod ruling, though it may be a little more efficient to use the GHR system since forum mods do not have the power to restore deleted nations.

4stan, you are still allowed to post in Got Issues if you can do it in a positive and constructive tone. You are still allowed to post there if you want to write issues and you need feedback on a draft. You are still allowed to comment on other people's drafts if your comments are CONSTRUCTIVE.

You are NOT allowed to nitpick existing issues or provoke the editors. If you want to critique something and you're not sure whether it counts as "nitpicking" -- it counts. Don't post it.

I'll go see about getting another mod to take a look at this, since I can't rule on the appeal part of it.

GHR system? What's that?

USS Monitor wrote:You are NOT allowed to nitpick existing issues

Given how broadly you interpreted the verbiage of the last warning that I was given, I'm afraid of how broadly you'll construe "nitpicking". Rest assured, though, that I have definitely lost all motivation to help any of you improve this game.

EDIT: never mind. It stands for "General Help Request"

This is the Getting Help Report page. The GHR page is used by players to report to the game mods, gameside rule violations such as rmb spam,WA Multing, etc.

This is really, really weird. My appeal was denied... on the basis that I had been banned from "Got Issues" entirely. It looks like the moderators don't even agree with each other about exactly what restrictions have been placed on me. Can we get some clarification from Sedge on this?

It's being discussed in the Mod forum. There may be some delay due to timezone differences and whatnot.

That's good to hear. It's rather strange to be accused of breaking the rules, being "abusive", etc. when I haven't insulted anyone or used any obscenities or profanities beyond a "hell" or two, and have done, without exception, everything that the staff have asked me to do, and I wouldn't want anyone to make a snap judgment based on an incomplete understanding of the facts.
