If I had to suggest any restaurants in Southern Louisiana, I'd have to say my top two restaurant choices are Deanie's Seafood Restaurant and Sal and Judy's in Lacombe.
That's just my opinion, though. Southern Louisiana isn't exactly a place you have to be careful cuisinewise, since we've got any food your heart could desire*.

Like I said, I dunno how you folks aren't all fat. I ate my way through Nola and I couldn't find food that wasn't super good.

If I wasn't a Mod, I'd start doing an annual hanami just so that I could feel I can contribute SOMETHING close to where I am!

No, that was a joke, it, wasn't a suggestion. No, DON'T post a hanami in Moderation, please!
I wear teal, blue & pink for Swith
There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man’s fears, and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination.

So, in keeping with tradition (well, I made this crap up last year, but whatever), I wanted to wish everyone on the team a very happy Mardi Gras (even if you don't celebrate it, you know who you are). I have brought, fresh from Haydels Bakery, a KING CAKE!
Whoever finds the little plastic baby has to get the next one, btw.

And here's some Beer to go with it. Don't let anyone know that I brought this because it's supposed to be a Louisiana Only beer.

It's like having any luxury:
We take it for granted and just end up considering most of our food mediocre and everything else terrible. We do have plenty of fat people, though; they just live away from the touristy places, which have more active and friendly folks.

You're in Japan - according to many, you get all the cool kids stuff as is, man. No complaining.
(Besides, order some spice from one of the many sites, cook up some Cajun for la famiglia, intro them to something new and exciting. And hot. >_>)
