It is not a blog post. It meets the standard rules for a discussion. It has a discussion topic even though my own position is presented (the questions are bolded and enlarged), there are questions to direct discussion and the purpose is to promote discussion. It meets the format and the requirements for thread-making as set out in the formal guidelines. viewtopic.php?f=20&t=88796#p18946099 In fact, I DELIBERATELY chose a topic I understood was worth discussing and framed the topic as such to promote it.
I would like to appeal.
I would like to suggest that the real motivation in locking this post is that the moderator involved simply does not like reading my posts. This is somewhat evidenced by the fact that they have locked another one of my post nearly a month ago... A ruling on another one of my threads was issued nearly a month ago with this paper thin justification by the same moderator (the very same).

As per the instructions, I have waited for the other threads to die out before starting this new discussion (in fact, even though there is no official rule limiting the number of OPs a person can start, I have kindly waited nearly a MONTH between this OP and the last one). However, it too has soon been targeted and locked.
Other threads of this sort (could also be called ''bloggish") are allowed (but apparently, not if they are authored by Infected Mushroom). This is a double standard. See this non-exhaustive list.

If those threads are allowed, then there is nothing exceptionally blog-like about my post. There is nothing about this one thread, that jumps out at you as being in violation of the explicitly stated rules of thread-making (viewtopic.php?f=20&t=88796#p18946099 ). In fact, those threads have more details on the opinion of the OP than mine, and like my threads, they are meant to generate discussion and questions.
This ''blog argument'' is nothing short of a paper-thin excuse to prevent me from posting legitimate discussion topics on this web site. It is an arbitrary and unjustifiable exercise of authority and I would like to appeal the decision to lock my threads.
The moderator involved simply does not like the topics that I am bringing up or does not like me as a player, and is engaged in persecutory tactics.
I would like to say that it is problematic if moderators are allowed to quash legitimate discussion topics on a whim and to target specific posters to prevent them from posting. If the threads are being locked because I have authored too many OPs, then that is discrimination in another sense. Certainly nothing in the official forum rules limits the number of OPs a person can start so long as they meet the discussion guidelines.
