Would it be possible to send a telegram to thread originators when you lock a thread, with an explaination of why it's being closed, even allowing them to plead their case to keep thread open.
Well, usually we do note at the end of the thread why we're locking it (Assuming it's not a zombie or self-evident), but you can always post in Moderation asking for a reconsidering of the action if you feel there is good cause for unlocking it.
