It's rather unlikely that any of those three play Nationstates, and it doesn't indicate at all that the user in question has any intention of attempting to murder anybody. It's in poor taste, but not afoul of the rules.

Just out of curiosity, what exactly do you do to sigs that are too long? I'm guessing you spoiler them and shift around words so they fit onto a single line rather than a bunch of lines?

Pretty much. It depends on the specific sig- sometimes all I need to do is clean up some BBCoding or get rid of blank lines to trim a sig to fit. (Happens a lot in cases where the horizontal line tag or the align tags get used badly.) Otherwise I just tuck it into a spoiler tag; generally trying to place the spoiler so that specific types of info are collected inside it. (For example, a sig with a long list of links to roleplaying threads and a one-line quote would have the links grouped under a spoiler with the quote left alone.)

Whenever it is possible, I avoid removing any actual content from a spoiler. Gets tricky on sigs that are bumping riiiiight up against the 800 character limitation. Fortunately in most cases I can trim or spoiler without having to actually remove anything.
