Caught up, and to clarify for Odhinnia:

You had an unnecessary [align=left] tag, which added an empty line before the spoilers. The way you had your code set up left a second blank line after the [align=center] tag. If memory serves, you also had a [hr] tag in there, which counts as a line. Empty lines and break lines count toward your total. Before my initial edit, you hovered at 8-9 depending on how many lines a spoiler goes for. After my edit, you seem to have since corrected those issues, as I am now counting 6 lines.

The line limit is the "law", however it is not one that carries an official punishment because it is incredibly easy to run afoul of it due to differences in screen size and resolution. That's why all that happens when someone does go over the limit is a simple edit and a TG notifying them that there was an edit so that they don't go "WTF happened to my sig?" When a sig is edited, I remove content only as an absolute last resort; otherwise I stuff enough of it into a spoiler to get it under 8 lines and let the poster know so that they can rearrange it to their satisfaction.

Compared to things you can get actual *** warnings *** for, a non-permanent, no-warning sig edit hardly merits the sort of histrionics I'm seeing here.

Trimmed, and somebody would have to very clearly and deliberately refuse to keep a sig under 8 lines to actually get in trouble. You can't accidentally get a redtext for a long sig, you would seriously have to work at it to get into trouble for having a long sig.

...well, I didn't even bother counting it because it's obvious enough it's well over 8 lines.
My nation is not like my nation page at all, it contradicts itself, we don't EVER eat kangaroos, that's just very sad. Also vegetarianism is compulsory yet it still says it's the nation's favourite main course and all and stuff.
