Cannot recover deleted nation - problem

Postby Astholm » Mon Aug 10, 2009 4:49 am

I tried recovering my nation, with my email address that was attached to it, and the following notice came up:
There is no such nation as "Kilcanada".
(Kilcanada is my puppet nation)
I've also raised this via the FAQ/feedback too, just for the record.
Why is this? Does this normally happen

[NOTE: I am posting from a public computer right now.]

I have multiple puppets here; only a select few are used to represent the continent of Astholm; others used represent Westholme, and do not artificially boost my nation's statistics.Previously i used puppets with nation names that did not identify as Astholm (e.g. Australis Australia; now all new puppets use ASTHLM, NORTHLM, SOUTHLM, WESTHLM (HLM denoting The Holmes.
NOTE: Other uses of Astholm here have a different continuity and refer to work created by the user Astholm, not the nation

Yes, if you don't know the password to a deleted nation, you can't use the automatic restore, and if the nation's deleted for inactivity, the system won't tell you the password.

Kilcanada has been restored.

Thanks for explaining that - as far as I know, using puppets is within the rules, and these are just used to pad out my own threads
[not the same as spam], so there are no worries there - I'm just being open and on the level here.

My other puppets were deleted for inactivity as far as I know.

No, you're right. Puppets are fine, so long as no more than ONE of your nations is in the WA. And if your puppets were deleted by mods, we'll know it if we are asked to restore them, and you'll know it if you try and get a message about it having been deleted by mods.

I did have one puppet in the WA, but then switched to another one, before withdrawing completely from the WA, so no issues there currently.
I didn't get any message from mods, so the nations were obviously deleted for inactivity.
If I put them on "vacation mode" and just log in every now and then, does it stop them being deleted for inactivity? :D

Yep. It does, though you do need to remember to log into them within 60 days.

Please can you recover Aversteinnland, Germanyhaim, United States1, Isle of Maren and South Africa Clyfe for me?
I will then put them in vacation mode, and periodically log them in.
NOTE - Please telegram me and you can get my NS-specific email address.

Thanks

All restored, and if you are still using the same email address you used when you created them, you're good to go with password retrieval without me.

Vacation mode gives you 60 days leeway, as against 28 days otherwise.
