Where should a sign-up be made?

I'm sorry that I keep asking questions revolving around the same region, but I wanted to make sure I put something in the right topic before putting it up.

The OP/Founder of this region has been letting us use their regional advertisement thread as a sign-up/OOC thread for an RP that we intend to have be based in the region.

In the thread, we were told by the mods that we couldn't use the thread for OOC, but we could do so for regional sign-ups. Well, we've made an offsite forum to put OOC in, along with other RP related things in the region, but my question is about the sign-ups.

We aren't using the regional advertisement thread for regional sign-ups, though it could be used for that. We were using it for RP sign-ups. Would it be alright if we made an RP sign-up thread in the appropriate forum?

I think that the appropriate place for a sign-up thread would be F7. That's sort of what we did with the Pokémon Trainer's Corner, with the sign-up on F7 and the Corner off-site.

I ... think that if you don't go on with the regional aspect of it, and just go with the role-play signups, that F7 would be just fine. You could link to your offsite forum in it - it has been done before iirc, and folks could get the rest of the information there without worrying about breaking rules about regional advertising in the wrong forums here.
