My advice to you is "Don't read it then". Nobody makes you read a topic. I find General to be boring as hell and I get a headache whenever I post it in. How do I avoid those headaches, I don't go there. It is that simple.

Didn't really happen before F7 on anything like the same scale. There are about 60,000 posts in the first page of F7 alone. Never used to be the case on NSG.

a more PC way could maybe just be to get rid of the more obvious spam threads like 'Rate the poster above you' and the majority of the cult threads? you could certainly make the argument that these threads have suffocated any potential forum 7 had from the start
