Improvements to Geography and Government

Postby San Lumen » Thu Jul 02, 2009 12:56 pm

A possible addition to the game could be being able to name your nations's capital city and other large cities. It would also be cool to have a national newspaper as well as giving a name to your nation's leader. Any Thoughts?

Do you mean like those in NationStates 2?

Actually, that is a good idea although it may be a challenge to cater for many nations' different styles of government or freedom of press. There would be also issues if a nation had more than one capital city. However, if you mean to have these traits for cosmetic purposes then it would be possible to implement these features and other similar suggestions as fillable text boxes that would then show up in the spotlight and nation pages.

The main national newspaper is worthwhile. It gives a source for many of the national issues that appear, having originated in the media. And since the nation's leading newspaper is the Capitol Rag (main paper of the nation's Capitol), knowing the name of the Capitol city becomes useful.
