I'm not sure if this was asked or answered already, but if our nations were to CTE (even with the timer being extended), does that mean that the region(s) they reside in will get deleted as well? Or will they be stuck in some kind of limbo state until the site comes back online? Just curious.

I don't believe anyone has asked this, but I had a purchase in the NS shop, and one of the main things in it was doubling my deck capacity. I assume because of the effect on cards, all the times I increased my deck capacity naturally would be gone, so what would happen to this doubling from the purchase?

The revival is so slow. I think NationStates mods are nimrods when it comes to backup. Bruh why May? You should have done it before the failure, and also the worst is that they didn't check the state of the disk who never completely fails oneshot unless you have low-quality chinese disks

It seems tensions are a bit high, so I'll give something nice for the mods to read instead.

Unlike some other people in this thread, I actually kinda see this as a good thing, at least personally. It forces me to take a potentially well-needed break from the site while it is being fixed, and allows me to recharge my writing battery and think up new ideas for my region's RP in the meantime. I'm certainly a bit jumpy about wanting to get back to it, I'm sure we all are, especially since this is one of the main things I do in my freetime to help stimulate my writing and worldbuilding skills, but I also know vaguely firsthand that sometimes technology is hard and confusing lol. I personally could barely even figure out how to get a mod from Github to work properly, so I can only imagine what hell the mods are going through right now. Keep up the good work guys, and don't let the haters get to you. Cheers!

Nations can't CTE until the site comes back online, so this won't happen. The timer was extended so that nations on the verge of CTE-ing before the site went down would have a bit of leeway to log back in after the site comes back online.

Updates are not running. You cannot CTE. Is not a possibility

But they cannot be fully restored, either. As you can tell by my flag, I had CTE just before the shut-down, and was in the process of restoring my nation in one of the Sinker regions. Now, I will just have to wait to fix my poor little nation!

Given the game is not up currently, you can't modify customisable fields, move region, or answer issues, while I am not a techie of any kind it is to be assumed that once the game is back up all the areas of the game barring the ones affected by the disk failure will be functional, from what has been said. Just saying this to avoid confusion for someone reading this without much other info.

I thought there was no hope of restoring cards? Was this the case, and if so, what changed that so there was a chance?

We're still remaining cautiously optimistic that we may be able to recover something be it via physical recovery off of the damaged drive, or through other methods.
