Some data got corrupted. We don't know what. We don't know how much. It wasn't part of the planned maintenance. You'll find out shortly after we do what is missing.

You can ask, but don't expect much of an answer. We don't know what was lost. We don't know exactly when it will be back. We are all volunteers, and it's a holiday time for both us and our hosts. We pretty much all have family, weather, or other obligations that must be met before we can devote a lot of time to troubleshooting.

Seconded. Server work is hard, and in these situations there's no way to guarantee that everything will quickly return to normal, but the game mods a doing a great job.

They're more reliable than the entire Spectrum ISP

I also would like to add my thanks to the staff that are working to restore NationStates. Stuff happens and whatever is lost, nations should just be thankful that the NationStates service will continue. As was said, they are all volunteers and are obviously trying their best!
