How to become an Authoritarian Democracy?

Postby Linda s Cakes » Mon Jul 04, 2022 2:04 pm

My Economic Freedom is 82nd percentile, and has the Socialism policy, yet is still classified with moderate economic freedom and is a Moralistic Democracy. How much lower does my economic freedom have to go in order to become an Authoritarian Democracy?

This also doesn't make sense because one of my other nations has 75th percentile economic freedom and is Capitalist, yet they are a Left Wing Utopia, which, I recall is a classification for low economic freedom.

It's not based on percentile, it's based on the actual score. You're in the -50's, you need to drop it to below -67.

As stated above, your nation would need economic freedoms of -67 or below, among other things already covered by your civil rights and political freedoms.

The game is designed to delineate economic freedom according to this scale, depending on which main economic policy you have installed:

*
Capitalism
Socialism
Restricted market
0 to +33
-100 to -67
Mixed market/moderate
+33 to +67
-67 to -33
Free market/laissez faire
+67 to +100
-33 to 0

Many classifications require a nation fall specifically within one of these ranges. I believe, for Authoritarian Democracies, theirs is 'restricted,' so again, for your nation, -67 or below. Hope that helps
