Honestly, It will probably be changed in the future, though it is understandably not a priority.

they are though. they control kabul, the former government of afghanistan has no power over any part of the country. the national resistance front hardly controls any part of the country and is a rebel group that does not carry the legitimacy of the islamic republic of afghanistan. most sources list the taliban as in power-- for example, wikipedia has this.

i don't think so-- after all, they are in control of both kabul and most areas of the country. it's factual that the taliban is the authority in afghanistan for now.
