Hello

I ask this question : I've been wondering for a certain, when does your nation become atheist or anti-religion.
I know there are a policy, /atheism. However there are multiple religious issues that none of nations seem to be able to ever

for exemple : X Marks the Cult?, Shepherds Without a Flock, Cults: Harmless or Heretics?, Violent Violetists Protest Artists, Divine Decoration, Nobody Expects the Bronzian Inquisition!, Returning Holy Warriors Cause Trouble, Prayer in Public Schools? and etc.

I'm pretty sure I received these issues once, but I never saw any of those in the last 6 months or so.
however, there are still some religion based I receive on a regular basis.

that's why I wonder, when does our nation becomes atheists ? When their Secularism score pass over 98/99 ? how does this stats works ?

IF you're talking about the policy tag you can get if from answering specific issue that ban religion. It's not just that your nation is particularly athistic, but that you have mandated atheism as a matter of policy.

what I mean, is that I don't need to have atheist policy to have an issue like : 1014 Unreasonable Doubt

Not necessary. I got that issue by not encouraging the practice of religion but not banning it all together. It probably has to do with census about the religiousness, that is, probably need to be very low to get the issue

how would one consider a score of 2.7 on religiousness stats or 96.37 on secularism stat,

because the only nation where religious issues started to appear was Bronze Beetles, and these where its stats.

I've been wondering if the government could be opposed to religion without having the atheist policy.

Edit : tentative theory : government opposition to religions being a something separated from Atheism policy.
and to disprove or this / I'll be answering issues that recognize freedom of religion on beetles.
1014 Unreasonable Doubt option 3
1417 Nun on the Run option 3
and maybe, 1197 Aflame With Indignity option 1/2

There are two different stats at work here that I would imagine often correlate to each other.

A measurement of the government's restriction of a person's freedom of religion. This is a scale with mandatory atheism on one end and mandatory worship of the state's faith on the other with full freedom smack in the middle. Freedom scales have hard edges so until you hit the edge, it isn't completely mandatory one way or another.

The other stat(s) is the measure of public's religiousness or lack there of. As you can imagine, you could conceive of a very religious populous without it being state mandated and vice-versa. For example, Bear Connors Paradiso, 62 in the world for Secularism, but it isn't mandated by the state.

I understand that what you mean, is that we can become a very atheist nation without enforcing the ideology on our population.

however I am not certain this is the reason why I cannot receive some religious issues on any of my nations.
I'm wondering if Question of faith option, which read like this :
3. "Oh for chaos' sake! 'I don't know this, I don't know that' - well of course you don't!" shouts @@RANDOMNAME@@, president of The Secular, Humanist, and Atheist Society. "But some of us have the guts to look at the available evidence and try to make something out of it! If the government has any brains or guts of its own it will reach the same conclusion that I and millions of other forward-looking people have reached: there is no God, there is no afterlife, and this is all there is. THAT, @@LEADER@@, is what the government's official stance should be."

if that option is not responsible for the government opposition to religion. so that would be the reason why I cannot receive these issues.
in a sens, maybe a government can be opposed to religion, but not outlawing it, (therefor no atheism)

MIght I suggest that we should have an agnosticism policy ?

Right now I am quite certain
1014 Unreasonable Doubt option 3 change something in your nation, even if not mention.
the 4 issues White Beetles got after choosing that where Prayer in Public Schools?, Clash of Cultures, Nobody Expects the Whitian Inquisition! and Marry, Marry, Quite Contrarily. All religious based issues

Update

My theory seem to be close.
two nations that have chosen to go agnoticism (1014 option 3) have received the issue : Cults: Harmless or Heretics? the other nations did not.
I am very certain its because the government is opposed to religion, (and this does not appear to be the same thing as atheism policy)

I also noted that White beetles scored 2.84 on religiousness, being the 264 356th last on this ranking.

If you would like, I can run one stats graph for you with the color maps on whether or not the nations have enacted Atheism policy.

But I just started my day, so it might take... 14 hours at least, for me to come back home and the like. ^^;

Well. if it where about stats, it would be, at which point, does the government because opposed to religion (blocking many religious issues)

not about, what stats does the atheism policy give us.

Yeah, I can do that. Religiousness vs Secularism, then the color highlight of whether or not they have Atheism.

It'll probably be better explained once I got the graph.

So first, here are a couple of graphs, though I feel that it is not representing the data in the best of way. Here for reference. Blue = Atheism, Green = No Atheism.

(All except one Histogram has log y-axis, given the very skewed distribution).

Again for those of you waiting forever on my main stats thread, my sincere apologies. I will do more deeper analysis when I have the time. I can so far only graph-and-run, given the busy schedule.
