[Q] What's the character limit for RMB posts?

I'm working on an RP post for my RP region and as it stands, it's currently 25,500 characters and 4,000 words. Trying to find hard numbers has been unfruitful.

Then someone said that they learned that the RMB caps itself before 19,000 words. A few thousand before 19,000, apparently. Then someone else in that thread casually says that the entire script to The Bee Movie can fit in the RMB which itself is "around" 14,000 words. But there's still 5,000 words between the thread OP's thing and The Bee Movie script in its entirety.

If we go off the assumption that English has approximately 5 characters per word, then the RMB limit is somewhere between 70,000 and 95,000. Again, way too much to work with.

Do we have any concrete answers?

It's high, and I don't know the exact number (also, some characters take up more "character slots" because of how character encoding (UTF-8) is working, so any limit mentioned would be about standard letters and numbers, not taking into account the extra length of emoji or cuneiform).

Safe to say, if apparently the whole bee movie script can fit, it's a high number. Would it be alright if at some point you have to cut your rp post in two? I prefer not to have to poke an admin to look up the exact number

On the subject of RMB character limits, one could test it by just typing the letter "a" over and over for a bit, copy that, paste it, copy+paste, copy+paste, and so on, keep going until the RMB says "hold on now, I'm too fat now!" After that it's just a matter of deleting some until it can be posted, adding smaller amounts to it, and so on until the max is determined. Then just copy+paste those a's into a character counter and voila! Answer found.

I've done multiple around the 7000-8000 mark without breaking the RMB, so you're safe so far I think.
