Requesting permission to create browser extension

I'm not sure if this is the appropriate context for this; if this instead belongs in a GHR or somewhere else, please let me know.

I would like to create a browser extension to add some new functionality/content to NationStates. The browser extension would display it on the NS website itself, but using data from my server.

I would like to imitate the existing look and feel of the NationStates website for this new functionality/content. To accomplish this, the browser extension would have to generate HTML/CSS adapted from NationStates HTML/CSS.

Since basing my HTML/CSS on NS HTML/CSS has copyright implications, I wanted to ask for permission before proceeding further.

Worth noting that I haven't copied any code from NS - by injecting content into NS through a userscript, NS's stylesheets that are provided to the browser automatically apply to the userscript-injected content without me having to "copy" code directly in the userscript.

Yes, I was going to piggyback off of the existing stylesheets as well to the extent possible. I am more concerned about reusing HTML/imitating the overall look and feel of NS.
