26th for [v]/NZ. Just for timezones that lag it starts on the 25th for them.

Ironically, for a nation that used to have North Korea's flag...

I have no idea how to engage in this.

Greater Liyue has nukes, but we do not usually use them. We prefer to grill our enemies with spaceborne Icarus Cannons.

Historically [v] has used American time for all this, which is why Alt was asking, most probably. Other than that, it looks like it's starting at the same time as always, just a full 24 hours early.

1 John 2:1-2 My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father - Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.

Matthew 5:43-44 You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.

It means the event runs more over the weekend for people than over weekdays, hopefully allowing for more participation.

Really cool for Admin to demonstrate the sheer lack of professionalism for making this change on such short notice that a lot of players would already have their work schedules and had requested off for the previously stated dates. At this point, a little too late to request off new dates. There is no reason this decision couldn’t be made earlier, and it’s frankly embarrassing the mismanagement the rollout of N-Day has been; especially when the solution is just communicating better.

idk why I expect anything more these days though, given how little fucks Admin seems to give about communicating for player input/experience whenever they descend from their tower to tell us how things are gonna go

I personally am fine with the time change, and (fortunately) no one in HotA was particularly worse off for the new time, but to reiterate a point I made:

Chingis wrote:This would be very useful for the people who actually take the event seriously and plan their day in advance for it. Furthermore, this would be a good way to make sure the rather unfortunate mistake that happened last year does not occur again.

I do feel particularly bad for people such as Tim who, like many others including myself, takes this event very seriously. This is hands down NS' largest event and gathers an unprecedented amount of effort and preplanning, which also stretches into RL activities, in order to make more time for such a rare and popular event. However, despite complaints being lodged about this every single year, every single year the admins continue to warn us about the exact time of the event with less than a week to spare. In fact, this announcement was actually made a whopping 2 days earlier than it was made last year and still manages to be horrendously late.

We all understand that news articles are lots of time and bother. However, this is why I asked, in advance, for the admin to simply give us a warning on this thread, regarding the start time. It appears that this was ignored, so I instead of asking for this year, I ask - In future years, could the admin please give a warning of the event significantly earlier than it currently happens? If the admins are too busy then possibly they could designate a team of senior mods to decide - it's not a difficult decision to make, there really aren't that many hours it could start while happening around the 26th (which I note Sedge promised to us was going to be the date, and missed by a whopping 24 hours).

I will probably ask about this in advance next year, but I assume that will be ignored much like the last 2 N Day threads I made in this forum. That being said, if admins spent less time coding banners into the game and invested the 5 minutes it would have taken to answer my question into the metagames, maybe that would be a bigger benefit to the site overall.

Well N-Day, when it launches, gives you access to a "Nucler Arsenal"
with the Nuclear Arsenal, you can spend points that you steadily accumulate to create either Nukes or Shields, which respectively, well, nuke or intercept nukes.

There are three specialties: Offensive, Defensive, and Economy. The former two have lower prices for Nukes and Shields respectively, while Economy has, iirc, a faster rate of point accumulation and a higher point cap.

You join a faction to commence the Nukening, and you can target people in other factions. You can not only intercept nukes inbound towards you, but also intercept nukes inbound towards faction mates.

When you get hit, your "Radiation" increases, which slows your rate of point accumulation. When the Radiation hits 100, your nation is destroyed and can no longer participate.

Generally, the goal is to land the most strikes, prevent the most strikes against your faction, and minimize the Radiation to "Win" N-Day.

That's not fair, Tim. A request for the date was made on the 8th, and was confirmed immediately - that start date is still correct, though I appreciate not for all timezones. I said I'd get a time. I asked in the NSGP Discord that same day to canvass views on time, and was told the one I suggested (10pm BST 25th September) was the start time most N-Days had previously had. It allowed the widest possible range of people globally to have some time over the weekend (when people are usually - but I appreciate not always - less likely to be working) when N-Day would be occurring during relatively civilised hours. I therefore made the suggestion for that time, and said as such in the NSGP server.

Violet has been away for the last 10 days - so nothing Technical related that involves her has been able to progress. It happens. Admins, including Violet, do have lives outside of NS and sometimes those keep them off the site for a while, and such absences are not always planned or expected. If I'd known she would be gone for 10 days I would likely have posted something in this thread to advise what I was hoping the start time would be. The day Violet returned, it got confirmed immediately.

I appreciate it's shit for you if you've arranged your time off work expecting the event to be 24 hours later, and I'm sorry we weren't able to confirm the time earlier to avoid that. I'd like for us to get earlier confirmation next year. But it's not fair to say we don't care about communicating with players.
