Images require an "approved image host"

At this point, the whitelist is pretty comprehensive, and I won't add more sites unless they are major image hosts that we've overlooked.

As we don't host images ourselves, it's important for user security that we support hotlinking only to trusted domains. Unfortunately we don't have the ability to vet and maintain support for a large number of smaller domains.

Have any of these requests followed the instructions in the original post? Because looking at the last couple pages, most requests haven't. They aren't difficult instructions either.

When requesting an image host, please include an example of the image you want to include. So not just the name of the website that hosts the image, but an actual image. The same goes for if your image is not working.

I'm not arguing about the point itself. I do get the point of "having only verifiable hosts".

It's not like https://static.miraheze.org/ (the server used for images in NS Sports Wiki) isn't an unreliable server. Also, being hosted by Miraheze itself instead of having a "dedicated host" set up by a nation, makes it reasonably clear that's safe.

1. Because I'm using NS Sports Wiki to order my files and lore. It's way better than dispatches, where we are limited to merely 20.
2. Because not every server allows SVG files. Miraheze hosted NS Sports Wiki allows it. I mostly use SVGs when doing logos for people in The Seal and Logo Thread.
3. Because it costs them nothing, just a little bit of reasoning. They had nine months to consider it and didn't.

By the way, I already use Imgur as my principal means of hosting images. But would be easier to post and archive stuff with NS Sports Wiki.

Im not assuming Malice. A little bit of unwillingness, if too much. While proposing a decent and really useful alternative, I was missed two times, and ignored the third.

But that's obvious, not? If the host itself sends a 403 response, people can't access the files through any other means that are not the proper NS Sports Wiki: https://nssports.miraheze.org/wiki/Main_Page
