because NS servers are as old as the site, so they crash a whole bunch, this inst the first time this has happened, won't be the last until the update the servers

Same for me, my entire regions chat log is gone. Its a little soothing to know that the forums still working though.

Well it's not "gone gone". It will probably be back once the database has been restarted, or whatever connectivity issue between the front- and backend is fixed.

Little point in speculating further. Database connection errors can have widespread causes. Sometimes it something stupid like a database link user password that has expired.

I wouldn't say lazy; busy, more like. After all, Max Barry is primarily an author, which is a lot of work. This site was made as a promotion for a book, so it isn't exactly his #1 priority.

I wouldn't make any "changes" to your Nation like answering issues or lodging messages. That stuff probably (normally) all goes to the database, so without connection that's all pointless.
