Idea: picture limit for posts.

As of late, I've noticed that this website is having problems with certain accounts spamming porn/gore with 90+ pictures in a row. Would it therefore be possible or worthwhile for the website to implement picture limits to all user posting?

I can't think of or recall any legitimate occasion where a single post anywhere on the website has more than one or a few pictures. Anything past that limit is spam or abusive more often than not.

If the website makes it so only 5 or fewer pictures can be included in any single post, it might cut down on the severity of when spam posting happens and will save bandwidth or page loading for the website and more people when spam is still up, before it is taken down and might make Moderation's job marginally easier in removing or addressing incidents that involve excessive images being spammed.

People perhaps won't have as much flexibility with posting, but the silver lining of it would be that the forums would be neater if the only way around the limit would be to make another post, but if posts are being spammed, that is theoretically more quickly stopped and undone than one post containing 100+ images designed to force people to keep scrolling down whilst it is still up beyond just annoying/distressing users here.

I believe there is already a limit of 10 images per post. That doesn't prevent someone from posting the same content in multiple posts in a thread, which is what I believe is happening.

You obviously haven't visited the roleplay forums. They use a lot of images in very complex posts.

It's useful for my posts in TET sharing my photography with people who enjoy seeing it. Not to mention some of the things RPers do with images in their RP posts. I don't see why limiting what the majority of NS users do because of what some spammer does.

I'm not sure what the limit is, but it's not ten images. My aforementioned photography sharing posts in TET regularly go above ten images. 16 images, 20 images, and 45 images

NS Sport posts with national flags use dozen of [img]s in each post. The limit is definitely not 10. And such posts would be impossible with such a limit!

We looked. There doesn't appear to be an option to set a limit on images. It would take more code manipulation than anyone here is willing to commit.

Not to mention many factbooks, newspapers, and storefronts which use small image-based links for immersive purposes in their content.
