Leaving a School Class Region

Hello, I don't know if this is the right place for this, but I wasn't sure where else to ask. I originally signed up for NationStates as a class assignment by my World History teacher, and she had us join the region she made (a registered School Class). However, those days are long gone, and I would like to create, or at least join, a new region to play NationStates in a way where I can more closely interact with my friends and their NationStates.

Is there any way at all to be removed from a registered School Class? Perhaps through some kind of moderator action? I want to join a new region with my friends, but I do not want to lose my current NationState.

We have a tool to remove class status from a region, but the only process we've ever responded to is when the teacher contacts us to tell us the region is no longer being used. It doesn't work on individual nations.

If you were the only nation in your old class region, I'd consider de-classifying it. You're not, so we're kinda stuck in limbo.

Maybe if you cease to exist (not login for 28 days) and then relogin you would be refounded in the sinkers? Never been in a school class region so I don't know for sure. It works with normal nations but I don't know for school class nations.

I think what Fris and Nexus are saying is that the school class region is effectively over, so Nexus Falls can ask a mod to remove the class status from the region.

Nope. Class nations refound in their class regions.

Teacher/founders can eject you from the region, but that doesn't help you when your teacher nation CTEd. I don't believe that WA Delegates get that ability when the teacher dies. It's all very much a special case, with the teacher in complete control of student nations.

What I said was that we don't have a process for that. Nexus Falls isn't the teacher, and therefore lacks the status to request Class dismissal.

Well, at minumum it looks like the delegate has BC authority...

Seeing as mods evidently can't remove class status from the region (and there are 3 living residents), it's worth a shot - try electing someone WA delegate and having them kick the others (and even themself) out.

Failing that, maybe ask your teacher to log back in and submit another GHR (or kick you)?

Yeah, as a class nation myself, the delegate will granted the authority and can make or remove officers, but the only way for you to leave is like someone said, get booted out. Also, one time I was there last person in my region, if I were to CTE and be refounded, would it save everything about the region?

When a region reaches update with 0 nations it ceases to exist. Unlike a nation, when a region ceases to exist it can be refounded by anyone, but in part because of that (as well as probably some intentional database design) the history and RMB of the region are not saved.

I'm so sorry I took so long to respond! The fix worked; I was able to leave the region! Thank you so much for your help!
