I'm quite certain the server logs will explain themselves.

I've logged out several times, but it seems as if because the forum caches credentials, I'm still logged in, even though I log out from the main site. Not sure where to go into detail about this, but simply grepping the server logs for my last HTTP requests will be more explanatory.

This likely doesn't even count as a security issue.

It usually updates if you try to reply, create a topic, etc.

That might work, I'll try it when possible.

If I have only one tab open, clicking Logout will log me out completely (no "online" banner on my nation flag). But if I have several tabs open, close all but one of them, and then click Logout, the "online" banner is still there. So it seems that the website creates a new session for every tab you open, and the only way to log out completely, is to log out of each session individually. At least that's my observation for the forum.

There's a way to force a logout, though. While you're logged in to the forum, use the Switch button to log in to your nation again, and then log back out. This always works for me, whenever the forum refuses to log me out completely.
