RMB Quotes Glitch

I've noticed this weird glitch where ocassionally, the quote will say that the author of a quote isn't who the author really is (and afaik the poster did not manipulate the quote BBCode intentionally), and then clicking on the quote will lead to a completely different post. Here are two examples. The "author" of the quotes that shows up instead of the actual poster seems to be related to the author of the dispatch(es) linked in the post.

Those would be quote editing. So, the poster there modified the nation name and text of the quote, but not the post ID in the [quote] tag. Why they did this is beyond me.

And in the second one, the author broke the post ID.

I don't think so many people would edit it like that. Here are two more examples. They both quote the same post by Melicorium, but it shows that I said the quote.

Will there be an update on this? Here's another example (and a picture from Amerion showing that he hadn't edited the poster in the BBCode).

There doesn't appear to be a glitch, more you appear to be being trolled. https://www.nationstates.net/page=rmb/postid=42451966 - as Comfed mentioned is easy for any player to do. Amerion's screenshot appears to be showing you how to do it, not showing a glitch.

Edit: I went back to this sure that Glen/PH were wrong, but looks like I was, is throwing weird stuff for me clicking on the links.

No, it's definitely a glitch. If you go to post in question and quote it, then hit preview, it's attributing to a completely different nation (Boston Castle): https://www.nationstates.net/page=displ ... d=42365971
