I agree with this. Maybe a slight boost, similar to that of commendation or condemnation.

Also, adding a new rarity is a bad idea.

Is it that legendary is a certain amount of slots? Or a certain "score" that one has to reach?

Based on the limited information available (eg. comparing the number of legendaries in two seasons), I believe (and by believing, what I have heard from other experienced card players) that the number of legendaries is proportionate to the number of nations that are having a card made for them.
Apparently simultaneously a Ravenclaw puppet, a NPO plant, and a Warden spy. I had no idea I was that good. Depending on who you ask, my aliases include Krulltopia.

I feel like a “Mythic” rarity would be appropriate, considering many other games with similar rarity systems have a high or unique rank called “Mythic”. Maybe moderator cards can be Mythics? Or some higher ranking NS Members card?

This is an interesting proposal as an alternative to staff members being legends “just because”

The idea of deck play is that different decks change their cards and how they “work” ( magic the gathering, etc). This keeps it all INTERESTING. Someone asked “why should we do this?” That is the answer, the card game gets BORING.

Farmers hoarding piles , average collectors slogging through crap, and noobs giving up will not keep the card game vibrant, interesting and engaging. That should be reason enough for any game developer to entertain new ideas. I would hope.

Also, to entertain an idea, not that “I” would benefit from this, but using existing alignment “chaotic neutral” etc. a board of the top card collectors could likely better weigh in on the feasibility of such a change to the card itself, while not changing rarity but rather adding a category based on nation behavior. I see the obstacles but also it could be INTERESTING.
“Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.”

What a man really says when he says that someone else can be persuaded by force, is that he himself is incapable of more rational means of communication.

Plus the first Mythical card already exists. :p

Very true Luna, Very True... :lol2:
Well this seems to be very split down the middle between yes and no.
We have about 33 for yes and 31 for no. This will be up to the techies.

37-28* in favour of ‘no’ and it was always up to the tech staff. NS a democracy? That’s not how it flies. :eyebrow:

No, the people that said "Yes but I dont know what it should be," is yes. So, 33-32, in favor of yes.

I've removed the poll from the thread. Polls are less than useless (anyone can puppetspam them), and are not relevant to Technical forum discussions. Admins don't make decisions based on votes; they make them based on compelling arguments.

Well I had not created the poll to encourage mods and techies. I had made it so Myself and others could see peoples opinions.

I thought this was false. Isn’t it the case that staff do not take up any limited Legendary slots? There is 1 Legendary card for every 1000 nations existing during the card creation snapshot, plus 1 Legendary for every non-mentor staff member. Please correct me if this is not the case.

There were ~184000 cards in s1, with 184 legendary cards. In s2, ~169000 with 169 legendary cards. So 1/1000.

With a dozen CTE legendary cards this season and many more nations, we can expect 70 new legendary cards this season, assuming it comes soon and the ratio remains the same.

Yes, but I think it would be nice for players to have their rarities and Mods and Staff to have their own. That way they are recognized in their own way, and so are players.

Staff are players.

Anyways, I'll repeat what I've said before, adding a new rarity is a horrible idea.

He’s voicing his opinion—not spamming.
What are your reasons then? None of the ones you’ve stated have actually stood.

It kinda is. That's what a technical discussion thread is about: what people think about suggestions. And I don't see "moderator" by your name, so you have no reason to be commanding someone to stop spamming. If you think there's spam happening, report it so the moderators can address it.

So far I've not seen any particularly compelling reason to add a new rarity; the entire suggestion in its present form looks like a solution looking for a problem. Granted, that is entirely up to the techies, not the mods, but their silence on the subject is rather telling.
