How does My Region get Featured on the World Page?

So, I've been wondering about this for a while, and I don't know how it works. Do the Mods pick who to feature each day? Is it just auto-generated?

It's completely random with the only requirements being that regions have to have at least five nations and no password to be eligible as featured.
