Would this possibly be the cause of several Factbook images now displaying the Grey box of doom? Or is there some other cause for that?

I've tweaked how "table=noheader" works and added "table=plainheader."

See this dispatch for an example: https://www.nationstates.net/page=dispatch/id=1458836

Please note that these are still in testing, so don't go changing all your Dispatches just yet.

This gives you four ways to style tables: with default styling, with no styling at all ("plain"), with a header row that you style yourself ("plainheader"), and with default styling but the header is treated as a regular row ("noheader").

Please report bugs & weirdness!

The hover highlighting for every table except table=plain seems a bit broken, at least on dark mode. Table=plain has a normal grey background on highlighted rows, while the others turn white instead and look really garish. The highlighting for table=noheader's header row also doesn't really show up properly - it normally appears with a grey background, and when you hover over it, the only change is a few white pixels around the corners of the row.

Here's what it looks like with nothing highlighted: https://i.imgur.com/fcdQAlG.png

Here's table=plain highlighted (it looks the same on both the header row and the normal row, though only the header row has rounded top corners): https://i.imgur.com/WC0KjMJ.png

Here's what highlighted normal rows on non-plain tables look like (this applies to table, table=plainheader, and table=noheader): https://i.imgur.com/8GwkxGz.png

And here's what the highlighted header row on table=noheader looks like (compared to the header row on table=plainheader above it, which is how it looks without highlighting): https://i.imgur.com/qsxOtWE.png

I've had some wikipedia-like table designs I've wanted to do for my region, but have had to do them via off-site means (which hasn't been all that easy, as nobody can help me with keeping it up to date, so I've yet to make it a public thing/open it to very many people). An example of what I mean: https://imgur.com/a/Jx3CLgL .

Okay, just for you.

You still need to apply the number to the element (not tr), but if you prepend the number with "r", you get rowspan instead of colspan. For example, to make a table cell span two rows:

Thanks for the comprehensive report. I've updated the Dark, Century Dark, and Antiquity themes.

Oh, a wise guy!

Okay, you can now do for a cell that spans 2 columns and 2 rows. Or, if you prefer to be explicit, . Example.

Can you provide a screenshot of the problem? I don't see any issues with the Dispatch, but it's very long, so maybe I missed it.

I just looked through it myself, and the only real problem I saw with any of the images was one of them, in the last batch of images under the "Fallen House of Castamere" spoiler, being broken. This wasn't actually because of any problems with NS code, it's because the image URL itself (http://pro.bols.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/Chaos-Cultist.jpg) doesn't work. I'm assuming the "grey box of doom" is the loading icon for factbook images, in which case your problem is most likely that there's too many large images in the factbook which take a long time to load.

Thanks for the additional header options! I tried them out in a few dispatches, so far no issues.

A little bit away from the tables and images, but what happened to the colored names for the spoiler titles? I noticed in and I was trying to help out in a test factbook with my puppet Mini Me For Cards but had no luck. I tried a lot of ways to have the tags in different orders, background tags, background-box tags, whatever
like this
Not as good
The color in the titles definately worked before, but it isn't working in foums

Ruins the feel of the effect, but its just a bug in the system

If you want to send me any cards, best if you send it to this one, Holland DS6, I just need more bank on this account if I want to upgrade the limit, but I just keep wanting to buy cards worth more, cards I like or cards for a collection that I am working on, I already had a lot of cards in the catagory, so mind as well make it an official collection that I could possibly already complete. I try not to break the rules, so if I do it by accident, please just tell me mods, although it would have to be through the TG only for mods, like Ransium had to due to class region. I didn't really check for spellings, so it may be a little unclear, sorry. :P More in my factbook on card+gifts.
Finally getting my own card soon!

I'm not sure I understand the issue... you can make colored spoiler text, but I don't see any attempt at it in the dispatch you linked.

Here is a dispatch with colored spoiler text: https://www.nationstates.net/page=dispatch/id=1460885

Yea, that works now. I noticed that I myself messed up a placement of a ], but I don't know about the dispatch I talked about, But all of the spoiler titles was something like: ( Try This!) With the end color tag hidden by the actual spoiler. I tried in this forum post itself, but it doesn't create the spoiler correctly, just the code still there like
{/color} Text inside the spoiler
, perposely replaced all [] with shifted {}

Sorry for bumping this, but is there a chance this multi-row/multi-column table functionality could be added to the forum as well, in the future? Thanks!
