Z-Day Glitched?

It appears that Z-day just started, but my nation already has all three superweapons researched and 71% of my population is dead. I haven't been hit with hordes or TZES, so why is this?

EDIT: All of my puppets are currently sitting at 100% healthy and no dead.

Apparently, because according to the statistics 9 billion of my people already died between 30 and 5 hours ago.

It doesn't help that they disabled making a region so you're hindered from actually being able to relax and take it easy. which would be nice since I'm already borderline to having an aneurysm already.
FT version of The Empire of Japanese Pacific States (Now with genetic therapy, more Muv-luv tech, some slight Half-life Combine tech, Superweapons and some slight Star Wars, Halo tech influence and a Helghast-ish military).

I'm not sure what's going on but it appears for nations that participated last year, it just picked off where it left off explaining why some already have dead people and zombies.

Yep, seems last years numbers are up everywhere. Would be very disappointed if I miss out this year because of a bug- I've only got a 90 minute window to set up and it's right at the start, and after that I'm off to work. :(

I agree, very strange. Checking my puppets, it seems things did not reset but rather went back to how they were last Z-Day. My region is locked but I did not lock it, and our region lists nations in the “cure fully developed” that have not logged in since before the event.

That was surprisingly quick and anticlimactic for my first Z-day. Amazingly easy as well.
