Hmm, seems like they pulled the drives (as implied by the "No Such File or Directory" error) and now it's fine?

Only now it might be over yet?

We had some sql errors too, the phpbb_posts table was crashed.

Yeah, that was a result of rebooting the forum server to get its network working again.

That was the error displayed while I took the database down to fix the database's index of posts.

Alright, can you tell us what happened, and is it related to the cloudflare errors of last night?

I'm not a computer expert, but I think we may have gotten Bobby Table'd.

You are indeed not a computer expert.

The tables were not dropped. Just not reachable for a bit, as Elu said.

We've had a few 24+ hour ones I'm pretty sure, several years ago.

Then there was that time in I think 2012-13 where the whole site went mental, and we got custom fields disappearing and nations rising from the dead or disappearing. That was fun.

The ol' reboot. Generally either solves the issue or ends in catastrophic failure. :lol2:

Once you guys get things figured out, do let us know what happened there.

The forum loading forever and returning an error in the end.... For a moment that felt so 2003 again..

The underlying network problem came back and I had to reboot the server again. Hopefully the host will fix the cause soonTM.

Well, considering that nobody posted in nearly 2.5 hours prior to about 10 minutes ago, I think you missed quite a bit of downtime just now.

Hopefully this old site will be working again. I think Max Berry would need a new set of paper clips and duck tape that is holding this site together.
