You don't get money from Nowhere.

Idk they could turn it into bitcoin tho and then exchange it with real money

Yeah, but someone’s needs to have that bitcoin and bitcoin costs real money.

It's clear you don't understand bitcoin at all...it requires either money (buying) or pretty significant (and costly) computing power (bitcoin "mining") to get bitcoin. You can't simply create it.

I meant to trade with somebody who already has bitcoin not that they should buy it

yeah, but you have to trade for that bitcoin.
NS will never be monetised.
It's against the rules first off, second off it's too unrealistic and unsustainable to work

Yeah, let's maybe not add methods for people to get an unfair advantage in the game.

Well, you have to trade them something.
it's too unrealistic and expensive, considering if the site staff don't get paid why should we? Morally i find that wrong/

Correct me if i'm wrong, but i think you are saying that nationstates should:

1) create it's own crypto-currency.
2) let people dig up those crypto-coins by doing things (like answering issues)
3) people can buy all the things in the store with the crypto-coins they found.
4) Site-owner can sell the crypto-currency on a real-life crypto-currency marketplace for real money
5) Site-owner can buy the crypto-coins from his players for real money, and go back to point 4 with that.
6) Everybody happy: there is real value created out of thin air.

In reality however, it goes terribly wrong from point 4) because no-one is willing to pay real money for such a crypto-currency. That kind of technology is really a bit more complicated...

I thought this meant like buying monuments and historical iconic places like the Eiffel Tower, Tower of London, The White House, and so forth along those lines.

Now that would be cool.
Or using the coins to design some sort of landmark building to put in your capital.

I mean as you said before they ain't gonna give you those for free because the site monitors need money and how they gonna get it trade? I don't think so.
Basicaly this idea is as wrong as mine is

No one is buying the monuments in real life. These would be digital things that don’t actually require purchasing, other than a coinage given from answering issues, and maybe a few hour’s work from [violet] or someone else.

Assuming you’re talking about moderators and admins/site staff overall, they are volunteers who don’t get paid 1¢

Thats exactly the same thing with the coins
Its not an actual currency it's more of a fake one
And you can get use them to buy different items
All the stuff that are you talking about it applies the same with my coins too

No. You are suggesting you can convert it to a real life currency that you can use in real life, which is implausible and impossible.
Without that part, it’s totally fine.
You just need a purpose for aforementioned coinage.

I'm confused - you want to buy badges via the game store or by answering issues?

You already do earn badges for answering issues, and I don't see why anyone would buy a useless badge with real life money. It's not an achievement or skill, just an icon that displays somewhere.

To those suggesting buying landmarks or similar elements, factbooks exist. Your nation can literally have whatever you want with some creative writing skills, all completely for free.

I see your point, b
A) there are a French people with ‘Writers Block’
B) the game side part of NS needs a purpose after 1 billion when you’ve got a National faith, and this landmark thing or getting to these badges might be that very thing. Otherwise, you are completely correct.

To further the idea I was thinking you unlock collectibles through answering issues. Every nation would have a national treasure vault page where you would view what they collected so far.

Because I thought that they ain't gonna give those items for free, thats why i decided to do this
Cuz as i even mentioned to be a win win
