Downtime ahead! (now over)

Hello all! To facilitate a hardware upgrade, gameside will be unavailable for about 45 minutes tonight from 11:45pm PDT (Tuesday, July 28).
See in your local time.As usual, people who are logged into the forums at that time may be able to continue posting, even though gameside is down. (The trick here is to stick to a single browser tab and only click around the forums - don't use your back button, or refresh the page, or anything else that might make the forum try to reload your authentication details.)
The site won't be any different when it comes back, but we hope to be able to improve performance over the next week or so, especially with regards to daily update lengths.

Any chance we could have some sort of update on when to potentially expect improved performance regarding update? Major and Minor are still sitting at 2:30 and 1:30 in length respectively, and the overall flow of update has actually felt less stable this past week if anything.

What do you mean a 'less stable flow of update' ? Note that due to Variance there are supposed to be jittery moments in the update, where it slows down, picks up speed again, and sometimes just pauses for a bit.
