So your laptop is 10 years old. Second-hand. That's the issue here.
Block the ad. That's likely the only fix.

Like I said, not necessarily. My phone is a Galaxy S8, and I purchased it brand new, last year. Screen burn doesn't only effect old devices.

It'd probably be better to use my suggested fix immediately, as leaving it will just make the problem worse; and there is no guarantee that the ad will be changed, as to my knowledge nobody else has reported it causing issues.
