How to escape BBCode

Postby Adalsika Alkihhe » Wed Apr 01, 2020 1:38 am

How do I escape BBCode in a specific part of a dispatch? I do not mean the pre or code tags, instead I want to display "i" in brackets without it screwing up the formatting and making everything italics, while remaining inline and the same formatting as the rest of the text. Help?

At the moment i am using a workaround with a zero-width space, but I would like to know if there is a normal way of doing it.

Pre tags is the only workaround, you can use [font=arial] to fix the appearance.

You can do something like

Code: Select all
[[size=100]b[/size]]Bold Text[/b]

results in [b]Bold Text[/b]

or

Code: Select all
[[size=100]i[/size]]i[/i]

resulting in [i]i[/i]

or, simpler and to the point of what you asked for,
Code: Select all
[[size=100]i[/size]]

resulting in [i]

I think that it works.
