I Wanted to fix this and I done nothing. Is this a ns bug? Because the ad was oversized.

Just to be clear, he's talking about the GigaRoam ad, not the two women in the dispatch.

Whatever else it may be, it's almost certainly not an NS bug. It looks like the ad provider included an image that was too big for the allotted space. Either that or the page offset got messed up. Someone with more CSS familiarity than me may be able to address the cause better.

It may be helpful to know that this occurs on the mobile website (especially the forums) rather frequently.

It also sometimes occurs on the PC website but mostly on the forums for me.

I've been experiencing this for some days, but I wasn't sure if it was just me. It happens mostly on the mobile forums/website, but sometimes on PC too. Ironically, I got one oversized ad right now while writing this post.

Wait... what's an "ad"?

An advertisement. On NS there are allotted spaces for ads (or no ads if you are Site Supporter). The problem discussed here is that some oversized ads end up covering more than the allotted space.

Thanks, I wasn't aware of that. I'll report it to our ad provider.

A Question, is that the ad provider replied today?

Yep, my contact couldn't see why it was happening so he has asked Google to take a look (since it's a Google ad).

This shouldn't be happening any more -- please report it if you see it (with screenshot, if possible).

Thanks violet for troubleshooting this. And Hardly Thanks to the NS Team.

Ads Broke Ads Border

This morning I saw an ad breaking the ad border as seen here while I was browsing NationStates.net.

I'd appreciate if this issue can be fixed.

This is also still occurring on the mobile forums (albeit less often). I know [v] said the ad provider for NS was working on it but figure some supplementary accounts wouldn’t hurt.

I think you can report ads to google if they’re covering content, that might work.

I saw that too- on mobile, while I was logged out.

Edit: I logged out again and immediately saw it again TWICE- once in THIS THREAD and once on the login page.

Edit 2: Saw it again in this thread right after posting the first edit.

Edit 3: Now it was on the "post submitted" page. And it's also right here, covering the enable/disable options under the edit box. Not anymore- it turned into a normal ad as soon as I finished writing the previous sentence.

It would be better to report it here so our ad provider can fix it. You report a site to Google when you think they're deliberately violating policy.

Still not fixed! Thanks for the report. I've contacted our ad host again.
