In my experience, disappearance is linked to corruption, and your corruption keeps going up.
Another thing to note is that the chart shows the percentage of deaths from disappearance, so increasing your lifespan won't necessarily have any effect at all on the chart.

The game is at its root satirical and exaggerated. I originally wrote that it wasn't intended to be taken seriously, but that's ultimately up to the player.
Over 96% of people in my oldest puppet die from Involuntary Euthanasia.
Nothing looks wrong from what I see. If you want less people people to die from disappearance, either become less corrupt or kill 'em another way.
