Conservation of Nomenclature = Naming of Parts
Under the current sytem:
Issue #1 concerns Military you get advice from Colonel AB, Lieutenant CD. Sergeant EF. Private GH and Pacifist IJ. You chose Private GH

Issue #2 concerns Economy you get advice from Super-rich AC, Medium-rich BD, Medium CE, Medium-poor DF and Super-poor EG. You choose Medium-rich BD

Issue #3 concerns Medicine, you get advice from Doctor AD, healthy Peasant BE, Homeopath CF, Wizard DG and unhealthy Peasant EH, you choose Wizard DG.

Issue #4 concerns Military and has a whole new slew of names and ranks.

Issue #5 concerns Economy and has a whole new slew of names and ranks.


Conservation of Nomenclature would be very complicated to implement.

I propose next time I get I get a Military ISSUE it is the same list of names, but their ranks are rearranged. I chose the Private, everyone is promoted one rank,so now Private is promoted to Sergeant and the General is now the Pacifist.

Next time I get an Economic ISSUE, then Super-rich is demoted to Super-poor and everyone else goes up a rank.

Better, but more complex, you choose Option N then N is promoted 2 ranks, N+1 and N-1 are promoted 1 rank, and N+-2 are demoted.

From what I can see, he's advocating for certain citizens in issues retaining their names but not their rank.

For example, if you get an issue that has General... Maria Mussolini, the next military issue you get, you would see "'bla bla bla', says Maria Mussolini, a devoted pacifist."

Edit: Also, if you chose Ms. Mussolini here in the issue, you get "Private Maria Mussolini" in the next issue.

Oh, I see now...he's asking for the names of individuals in Issues received to be reused, though with titles / epithets / prefatory phrases that are "updated" with each reappearance, relative to the choices the player has made regarding that individual in that issue.

Would be cool, but sounds like a lot of work.

Sounds like something that would be neat to incorporate into an issue chain, but not really important otherwise.
of course with an issue chain it's not necessary since you can just use fixed names and change the titles as needed.
