Something wonky with update

Postby Jessica » Sun Mar 31, 2019 9:35 pm

Some regions are not updating when they were before, like https://www.nationstates.net/region=osiris and https://www.nationstates.net/region=the_communist_bloc , for two examples. I do not know if this is intended or not but I am just letting people in charge know.

Region Reshuffle in Update

Postby Beaver Bay » Mon Apr 01, 2019 7:07 am

Is this a one off reshuffle for April Fools or is this a new permanent reshuffle of the regions for the update. (I'll look elsewhere to see if this has already been answered - I'll know one way or the other tomorrow).

[edit - added note]If there is no answer from anyone that would know, I'll assume you are not telling, and telling would be a spoiler.[/edit - added note]

I have the exact same question. I'm hoping it's just a prank by admin on R/Ders, because now we're all scrambling to find new JPs....

Please tell me this is a prank, because even though I founded 105 regions earlier in case, I really like the current jump point we have. :(

TGW is a decent JP itself.

TRI and TBH have already secured new JP's.

There's a sizeable number of refound targets towards the end up update, besides the option of mass foundings. Enough that you can even pick the name you like the most among the dozen or so choices in the last 100 - besides getting your hands on one of the foundered ones.

If the first update shuffle in,what, half a decade? ...is throwing you off more than a smidge, then you should up your game :P

Very first one for me. I'm just temporarily thrown off because now my raider JP list is off for awhile :p. TGW, as in the very first "The Grey Wardens", is controlled by TI but we have new JPs too.

Update shuffle is fine and any competent group can adjust to it easily, it is just annoying when it happens with no form of announcement or anything of the like and throws off my plans at update. It is also annoying when the person responsible answers questions about it in an offsite discord when that useful information could be placed where everyone can see it like here or something.

Fair, more communication than “not a bug” would be nice. An accident isn’t a bug. A joke isn’t a big. None of that says anything about intended permanence or lack thereof.

Nothing in this game is permanent, and thus always subject to change. An update order reshuffle was way overdue, and so it happened. And, yes, expect the new ordering to remain this way for quite some time. Enjoy your new jump points / good luck finding new and/or better ones. But keep in mind that eventually there will be a new shuffle.

Multiing is having more than one account in the WA, not having puppets (Im pretty sure an admin wouldnt be multiing)

Thanks for the lesson

Refusing to sign in to different accounts on certain computers though, seem suspicious don't you think?

Not signing in to an admin account on an unsecured computer is just good sense.

Cut it out. This isn’t gameplay.
