Bad Log-in Attempts

When I logged in to this nation, there was a red box alerting me to the fact that there had been two bad log-in attempts.

I'm not inclined to jump right to paranoia -- it was likely just someone mistaking my nation's name for their's...

But, I'm curious, is there a way to discover more info about these "bad attempts"? There are a lot of technical aspects about this site that I do not understand yet, so I'm unsure whether there's somewhere I can go to find more details.

Further info: I keep my password saved within the browser, so I never need to re-type it in. I do not share this computer with anyone.

The admins should know the ip of who is trying to get acess. There's another website that shows the relative location if someone trying to log in and you see if that's you but it's not sure because that same person can live in the same city. However I think there's is some pattern that should be able to detect whether that's you or another person that a admin should be able to prevent someone hacking or getting to your account in few cases but I don't know if it is implemented on this site.

Not for you, no. What you can do is file a Getting Help Report. Game moderators will investigate and take appropriate action where possible. As a rule, we don't pass that information back to the players. We might say "it was a guy with a similar nation name" or "some schmuck was trying to break into your nation". What we won't tell you is that it was Examplestan (that sneaky bastard) all along.

Also worth noting is that certain nations with common names (and "panther" might qualify) are targeted by non-players trying to hack into random accounts for who-knows-what-reason. If it's not another player, there's not much we can do except say "make sure you have a strong password."

It's really best if you restrict your answers in Technical to things you actually know to be true. Speculation doesn't help anyone, particularly when so much of it is not accurate for this site.
