National Debt

I was thinking and I thought, wouldn't it be cool if there was a national debt indicator in NationStates?
It could be in the economy tab like this:

They could also add a ranking for your country for the national debt.

Let me know what you think of this.

This should be in Suggestions, not NationStates but I do find it interesting. I know there are calculators that show trade deficits, Like NSEconomy. I don't know how piratical to implement it is so have to wait to see what the tech team says.

As much as I think it would be cool, I don’t think it would work as, who do you owe? Owing money to someone would be a Roleplay type scenario, and the game wouldn’t recognise it.

Agreed. In order for this to work, NS would have to set up an economic system, which has been denied again and again for being too hard to code.
