There's a maximum of three, and they have to be distinct, living nations. Any co-author can withdraw a proposal, same way that authors have been able to. Co-authors also receive the same notifications that authors do (e.g. repeals), and should also get a notification when a proposal is submitted that lists them as co-author.

Badges are the same as the author badge, as discussed above.

Added co-authors from GA, SC and Historical resolutions. ~~Have not looked at Historical yet~~. Just an FYI, the numbering system on the backend starts at 0 which is why my numbers are all one off.

We haven't had a resolution pass with co-authors since this change went live, so idk how the past resolutions page is supposed to look, but I assume there's a new, proper "co-authors" field somewhere on the page, and the intention isn't simply to append "Co-authored by $name" to the resolution text automatically.

Is this intended to change too? Will the past resolutions be edited to make use of the new field? Editing the text of the resolution sounds undesirable, from past discussion in this thread, but nothing says you can't leave the co-authors in the text while also adding them to the new co-author field, wherever that is. (In the event that this debate is still ongoing, consider this my input - leave the text alone but still add the nations to the co-authorial field.)

(I also wouldn't be surprised this needs someone higher up than a GM to make the edits, too, so if it'll take ages to prod admin to do it that might be nice to know as well)

I’d assume the answer is no.

Relevant players now have badges based on textual references in resolutions which is good enough in my opinion.

Doesn’t seem like it’s worth limited admin time.

I was the co-author of GA#491 [ID: GA 490] "Rights of the employed" - although given that the submitter of that resolution put the co-authorship notice at the top rather than the bottom, I can understand why you might have missed that out.

Nebulantis' co-authorship of GA#32 [ID: GA 31] "Veterans Reform Act" - which was also put at the top rather than the bottom of the resolution - has also been skipped.

Question on this, I’m not sure if it’s been asked before but I’m curious, if you’ve co-authored a resolution, will your name be permanently saved (such as in the case of being a WA author), if so, is the message the same as in the case of simply being the author?

Co-authors are considered to be on "the same level" as authors. So anything that happens to authors (badges, notifications of repeals etc.) applies to co-authors too.

CTEd co-authors, to the best of my awareness, are treated as if they were authors in the Boneyard: Libertytopia, for instance.

I believe they both have the same marker in-game, so there is no need to change the policy. We should probably fix the text, though.

Doesn't use the new co-author line. Whereas the now repealed https://www.nationstates.net/page=WA_pa ... /council=1 does.

We won't be doing any updating to past resolutions.

I'd think yes, but I'll leave the call to Luna, who spent the time updating the badges - he might have had a reason not to for that.

I made a judgement call on that one. It was written well after the convention of 'co-authored by' so it stood out as specifically not saying coauthored.

Given that:
- it's a repeal of a Commendation of a region that was refounded by Mall,
- the discussion thread has no mention of co-authorship,
- the text in that thread is very nearly identical to the passed resolution
- the nation mentioned was a member of the original region that was commended and wanted it repealed,

It seems clear (to me at least) that that line was added to add a punch of legitimacy to the repeal. It had the same flavor as "X native supports this liberation".

All that said, I'm not married to my interpretation if someone more familiar thinks the badge should be applied.
