So it seems there is nothing in
https://www.nationstates.net/page=archive but the message "NS Archive is not enabled on this server." Was archiving disabled at some point? Thanks for any help!

today's crash and the fact tonight's update hasn't occurred.

Fixed! It seems the disk went offline a few days ago but nobody noticed.
